ClosedGrant Closed: 18th of March 2024 - 5:00 pm Value: $100,000 to unspecified maximum Run By: NSW Department of Communities and Justice Further Information: https://www.nsw.gov.au/grants-and-funding/nsw-justice-reinvestment-grant-program

Justice reinvestment is an approach that supports communities to find local solutions to local issues. The aim of justice reinvestment is to resource communities to develop, and deliver solutions that reduce contact with the criminal justice system, including the police, courts and prison. Justice Reinvestment aims to support communities to identify the reasons why people end up in the criminal justice system in the first place, and then come up with activities and initiatives that can make real change.

The NSW Justice Reinvestment Grant Program will fund Aboriginal community-led change to address the underlying causes of imprisonment and re-offending.

The Department of Communities and Justice is committed to funding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCO). Priority will be given to 3-year proposals from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community-Controlled organisations (ACCOs).
