Welcome to our Community Funding Opportunities and Awards Program Newsletter where you will find details of grant and funding programs that are available for the Northern Inland Region for community based projects and social enterprises.

Due to the number of grants that are available, we send two funding opportunities newsletters a month; one for Business and Infrastructure and another for Community Projects and Award Programs. Dollar for Dollar Native Fish Stocking Program
Closes: Ongoing

Aims to enhance recreational freshwater fishing opportunities, to support local communities in the stocking high value native fish species, to assist in the development of regional aquaculture industries and to increase community and industry involvement in, and awareness of responsible stocking.

Under the program, community groups apply to the NSW Recreational Fishing Trust (funded by the recreational fishing licence) for matching funds to purchase native fish from licensed commercial hatcheries for stocking rivers and dams in the Murray Darling system and east of the great divide. Dollar-for-dollar funding is available for Murray Cod and Golden Perch for western drainage stockings and Australian Bass for eastern drainage stockings.

 

Country Shows Support Package

This funding ensures that country shows can go ahead with increased funding certainty and provide a much-needed boost to local businesses and economies.

The Country Shows Support Package aims to:

  • support the costs of organising and running COVID-Safe agricultural shows in 2022
  • ensure agricultural shows can continue with increased funding certainty
  • provide economic stimulus to boost local businesses and regional economies.

 

Building Better Regions Fund - Community Investments Stream - Round Six

This program funds projects that create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities.

The Community Investments Stream funds new or expanded local events, strategic regional plans, or leadership and capability strengthening activities that provide economic and social benefits to regional and remote areas.
